Meet Valona! A sweet, loving 3-year-old (3/14/21) mill mamma being fostered in the VA Beach area.

She is a happy little girl acclimating to her new way of life, with her foster family and her 2 resident cavaliers.

She is still very skittish, from her kennel days, but is slowly making strides every day.

Valona is a healthy 16lb cavalier, who is fully vaccinated, and had her spay and dental.

She loves playing with her toys, catching the ball, and her “zoomed time” with her 2 buddies in her secure fenced-in yard. She also enjoys lounging around the house, and watching TV with her favorite toy, “Lambchop” when settling in. She can also be vocal when watching dog commercials. She can be very comical.

Valona is very playful and loving and follows her foster mother everywhere. She sleeps in the foster family's bed with her canine counterparts, as they are inseparable. She is not fond of her crate, although she can stay in it for up to 3 hrs when her foster mother has commitments.

She enjoys her car rides and is very well-behaved in the car.

She is potty trained but still needs positive reinforcement. She goes outside every 2-3 hours, to avoid any accidents and is an ongoing work in progress.

Valona would do well with another playful, gentle cavalier, and would do best, with a quiet and loving home, where her family is home most of the day, so she can continue to practice good potty habits, and her leash walking and commands.

Valona needs a family who will love her unconditionally and will exercise patience with her ongoing training. She is ready to meet her family, and live her best life!

If you feel Valona is a good fit for you, please fill out the online adoption application, or email Tina @

Reagan-adoption pending

Introducing Reagan in the Hudson Valley Region, New York

Reagan is a sweet, gentle, and intelligent three year old Toy Cavapoo who currently weighs approximately 10 pounds. She is house broken, fantastic in the car, comes when called, respectful of free ranging in the house, has picked up walking on a harness, and is and completely non-reactive to other dogs.

Reagan adores her foster brother and enjoys following him around but is equally as smitten with her person. Once she loves you, she will do anything for you: following you from room to room, napping on or next to your lap, and sleeping quietly in her bed next to your bed. She does enjoy snoozing on the sofa so her adopter should be comfortable with her on the furniture.

This good girl rarely barks except when her foster mom walks in the front door to express her excitement and sometimes barks if her foster brother barks but does listen to “no,” and quickly quiets down.

Her foster mom believes Reagan is the easiest, non-destructive dog, yet still timid as a result of being a former puppy mill momma. But that should fade in time as evident of the strides she has made at her foster home in just a week. Her foster mom does not feel that Reagan needs to be crated because she is such a good girl.

Reagan will do best in a quiet home with children older than ten who have previous dog experience. Reagan has grace, manner’s patience, and lacks a single mean bone in her body. She even sits like a lady when her foster mom cleans her ears, bathes, and brushes her.

She enjoys long walks but will pump the breaks if she is overstimulated or intimidated but gladly accept a ride in her humans arms. She currently walks with her foster mom about a mile a day but would easily do more. She gets a second wind around 7:45pm and does the zoomies in the yard or plays by herself with a tennis ball in the house.

Reagan needs to gain a few more pounds and enjoys shredded chicken or ground beef and bone broth over her kibble, three times a day. Her foster mom said Reagan likes to go outside first thing in the morning to relieve herself. She does all of her business on their morning half mile walk and likes to go for an evening walk when her foster mom gets home from work. Someone who works full time but willing to keep her on a schedule will be considered while someone who is home most of the time is ideal.

If you are looking for love, kisses, and a very easy dog, Reagan is your gal. Also, she has never met anyone who didn’t love her!

Sally-adoption pending

Sally 2.jpeg

Hi, I'm Sally, and I'm a 4-year-old Christmas girl born in 2019. I started my journey as a puppy mill mama, but now I'm eagerly embracing the good life that everyone talks about! I've only been with my foster family for a short time, but I'm already loving every moment of it.

I enjoy exploring my new house and fenced backyard alongside my three Cavalier brothers and sister. I'm a great eater and take my pills for pain from my spay and dental like a champ. With my family and neighbor dogs, I'm well-behaved and love to say hello through the fence.

While I'm still pretty submissive, I'm blossoming more each day with all the love and care I'm receiving. I'm doing well with potty training, though I'm still working on being perfect overnight. Although I'm not a fan of a leash on my harness just yet, I'm curious about walks and watch my siblings with interest.

I adore receiving gentle pets from my foster mom, and my foster dad has won me over with his slow and gentle approach – especially since he's in charge of feeding me! I've been spayed, had my teeth cleaned, and I'm up to date on all my shots.  I am 25 pounds and can definitely lose a few pounds, my foster dad is leash training me this week for walks to help me lose some weight. Other than my weight, I am a healthy girl. Heart and patella clear.

I'm hoping to find a forever home filled with gentle love and care to help me continue building trust. If you're interested in giving me the loving home I deserve, please email and request an adoption application.

I'm currently fostered in Fairfax County in Northern Virginia. Let's make beautiful memories together!
