My name is Hope, I’m a 7 year old Tri-color female. I found my foster family in August and got away from a not nice place that bred me a lot. I have blossomed in foster care. I was shut down and unresponsive to external stimuli for almost a month. Now I am happy, vocal and loving. I currently have 3 foster brothers and a sister. My foster parents believe I would do best in a home with a Cavalier brother or sister to continue to show me the ropes!
The nice doctors who saw me said I was healthy and have no heart issues at this time yay. I have a ( not registered) microchip too. My vaccines are currently up to date.
Since I have been here, I have learned to potty outside in my fenced back yard and not inside!!! Walking up and down stairs was hard work but I’m getting stronger every week.
I love to go for walks with my family, that is fun. If I need to go outside I’ll go up to Mom or Dad and huff and puff at them or I am learning to use the dog door. I definitely need a fenced in yard to run around in.
In October I was spayed and weighed 18.5 lbs. I’ve lost 2 lbs. and want to lose 2 more. I’m not on any prescription medicines but my Mom gives me a Cosequin for Dogs pill, a Zyrtec because I sneezed in my new grass lawn and a pro-biotic because Mom said so.
I wake up about 7 am, my foster Dad carries me to the backyard from my crate where I sleep. I will pee and sometimes poop before breakfast sometimes afterwards. I eat in my crate for now.
I get a nice half hour midday walk weekdays and a fun 45 minute walk on weekends. That’s all I can handle now but again I’m stronger every week.
I eat dinner at 6:30 pm. I’m told that i am a little food aggressive but I am learning no one will take my food from me anymore.
Right after dinner my foster Dad takes us outside to potty, he has to pick up our poops because I like to snack on them. I’m learning what no means now. Mom takes me out for a late night pee around 10:30 pm-ish.
Are you the right person give me my happy ever after?
